Eight entrepreneurs from the Moscow Region applied for protection of their rights at a joint reception of the Business Ombudsman and the regional prosecutor.
On March 31st of 2023, the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs in the Moscow Region Vladimir Golovnev and the Prosecutor of the Moscow Region Sergey Zabaturin held a joint reception of entrepreneurs in the Khimki city district. Eight businessmen from Solnechnogorsk, Bogorodsky, Dzerzhinsky, Odintsovo, Chekhov, Ramenskoye, Taldomsky city districts applied for the protection of their rights and legitimate interests.
During the event, appeals related to illegal actions of local administrations, as well as actions or inaction of law enforcement agencies were considered.
A vivid example is the story of one of the applicants. The entrepreneur has repeatedly appealed to law enforcement agencies with statements about extortion, slander, knowingly false denunciation and even attempted murder. However, no effective response measures have been taken by the police. As the applicant points out, the commission of illegal actions against him and his relatives is the revenge of business partners for the arbitration cases won.
The participants of the meeting, having clarified a number of details and requested the necessary documents, took the issue under the prosecutor's control. In the near future, a check will be carried out on the inaction of law enforcement agencies during procedural checks, the legality and validity of the refusal to initiate criminal cases.
-Joint receptions of entrepreneurs with the regional prosecutor are a sure tool for restoring legitimate interests and violated rights of entrepreneurs. They light up the "red lights", help to understand the degree of complexity of the problems faced by entrepreneurs. At such receptions, we consider the most difficult cases. This allows us to quickly identify systemic problems in various areas and remove them, - said the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs in the Moscow Region Vladimir Golovnev.
